About the Role
We are seeking an experienced 360° Excavator Operator to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will safely operate excavators ranging from 1 tonne to 50 tonnes+ on commercial, highways, rail, infrastructure, and civil engineering projects.
You will be responsible for excavation works, trenching, grading, drainage installation, foundations, earthworks, loading dumpers, lifting operations (where authorised), and assisting the site team while maintaining the highest standards of safety, productivity, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 360° tracked and wheeled excavators.
- Carry out bulk earthworks and excavation activities.
- Excavate foundations, trenches, drainage, service ducts and utility crossings.
- Grade and level ground to engineering specifications.
- Load dumpers, wagons and hoppers safely.
- Install drainage, manholes, chambers and utility services.
- Carry out backfilling and compaction support.
- Work safely around underground and overhead services.
- Carry out lifting operations using approved lifting accessories (where authorised).
- Follow engineer’s levels, drawings and site instructions.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and machine safety checks.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate Forward Tipping Dumpers safely and efficiently.
- Transport soil, aggregates, stone, concrete, spoil, and construction materials around site.
- Load and unload materials in designated locations.
- Carry out daily pre-start and post-use machine inspections.
- Complete operator defect reports and maintenance checklists.
- Follow site traffic management plans and designated haul routes.
- Work safely around excavators, cranes, lifting operations, and other plant.
- Assist Groundworkers and site teams when required.
- Keep machinery clean and report mechanical faults immediately.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Site Manager to join our construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates, assistant engineers, supervisors, or individuals looking to build a long-term career in construction site management.
Working under the guidance of experienced Site Managers, Project Managers, and Construction Managers, you will receive structured training while gaining practical experience in managing site operations, health and safety, quality control, planning, subcontractor coordination, and project delivery across residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, highways, rail, water, and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager in the daily management of construction activities.
- Coordinate site operatives, subcontractors, suppliers, and plant.
- Monitor site progress against the approved construction programme.
- Assist in planning daily and weekly work activities.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections and report progress.
- Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Support the implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Monitor labour productivity and material usage.
- Maintain daily site diaries, records, and photographic progress reports.
- Assist with quality inspections, snagging, and project handover.
